Beyond
the wall

Exhibitions are where art lives on the wall. Projects are where the studio thinks beyond it — building structures, programs, and platforms that strengthen artists over time.

Each project at Mixi is a long-term commitment: to a question, to a community, or to an idea that requires more than a single show to develop.

Choice Award · Annual Acquisition Program

Mixi Collectors is an annual acquisition program that identifies emerging painters through open call, convenes a specialized jury, and awards the winning work a place in Mixi's permanent collection.

More than a prize — it is a commitment. Each edition builds a body of work that reflects a specific moment in contemporary painting, creating an archive that grows with the studio.

The first edition focused on chromatic possibilities in painting under the title El Color: ¿Forma o Deforma?, gathering 16 Mexican artists selected from 183 applications at Casa Siza, Mexico City.
